in 2007 i biked the pacific coast from Seattle to the Mexican border, walked back up the Pacific Crest Trail to the Canadiene border, and then biked back to Seattle... 4829 miles, 161 days...

This is just a small area of the vast, and I mean vast lava field I hiked through.  My feet were killing me at the end of the day.  Despite the trail builders excellent work the trail was still rough as hell and made for tough walking.
